In an effort to understand more SEO here's one more question about rankings again... this time because I can type in Google.com.ru which is Google search engine in Russian, and see my website ranks #4 for the keyword. But it ranks nowhere in Google.com of the US for example...

So website can have great rankings in Google.com.ru but it may rank nowhere in another search engine of another country like Google.com.uk

I want the answer please.

Hi Pokut,

For the  Google.com.ru, Google only picks websites only in russia, hence if you search Google.com, you'll registered and serached with all other related websites around the globe.
Its similar with Google.com.au or Google.com.uk, as you'll be searched within the local nation area.

Hi,

If you're ranking #4 think of it as something good - if you keep doing what you're doing that's working well in Google.com.ru you'll finally rank well also in google.com

This is like the case with msn.com - probably your website will rank high in msn.com before it ranks in Google. Nothing wrong that you're doing.
